The non-ablative lasers help to rejuvenate the skin. In four to five treatments at three to four week intervals, most of the pigmentary changes, sun damage, and mild wrinkles can be improved. Each treatment lasts 25 to 30 minutes.

As the laser is non-ablative, there is no damage to the outer surface of the skin. There is no down time. Deep lasers like carbon dioxide and Erbium cause moderate to severe redness of the skin, which may last up to six to eight weeks. These new lasers do not cause any redness and are almost pain free during and after the procedure. To prevent mild stinging during the procedure, an anesthetic cream may be used. To assure best results, four to five treatments are required. The rejuvenated skin needs to be maintained by repeating treatments every three to six months.
